For Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, Bob’s Well Bread Bakery (Bob's Well Bread Bakery) is bringing back a holiday tradition that’s been in the making for thousands of years: its annual round challah.⁠
⁠
Available for pickup at the bakery’s Los Alamos and Ballard locations on September 11 and 12, the challah comes in plain or raisin varieties for $15 each. Unlike the familiar braided loaf served throughout much of the year, challah for Rosh Hashanah is traditionally shaped into a round coil, symbolizing the continuous cycle of life and renewal in the New Year.

Fresh Baked Challah for the Rosh Hashanah Holidays!

We're taking orders now until September 8 for our fresh-baked Challah for Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year).

Did you know that round challah is celebrated on Rosh Hashanah instead of traditional braided bread to symbolize the continuous cycle of life, or as some believe, a year of blessings? Challah is ideal for beginning one’s traditional family dinner celebration, gifting to the host of a Jewish New Year dinner or enjoying for any occasion.

Traditional Round Challahs are Available
choice of: Raisin or Plain – $15.00

We will have a limited supply for walk-ins. Pre-orders are highly recommended.
