✨ Little update on the Meltdown recipe ✨

The drizzle has been slightly changed for the summer heat here in Florida ☀️

Before, the topping was simply melted caramel that would harden — but with this heat, it didn’t stay firm for very long once packaged.

The Meltdown was melting 🫠

The new caramel drizzle is specially made to stay set and hold up much better, so your treats arrive just as beautiful (and less messy 😉).

Same melty goodness, just a better finish for these hot days 💛

Today’s agenda:
• clean the kitchen

• prepare for weekend preorders
• probably get flour everywhere anyway 😆

"Irene’s Birthday Wish", my most special stuffed sourdough cookie 🤎

My sister Irene always asked for the same birthday cake every year. It was her favorite.

So I did what I do best and turned that memory into a cookie.

A soft sourdough devil’s food cookie filled with a warm marshmallow center and finished with a white chocolate drizzle.

I was brought to tears while dreaming these up, and even more when they were finished. But they were tears of healing and happiness. There was such a quiet peace in the process… like she was right there with me, and like God was holding every memory so gently.

My hope is that when you eat one of these cookies, you feel a little bit of the joy she carried so naturally.

This one is for her. And for the hope that love like this never really leaves. ✨

This week is always a mix of emotions for me. Friday is not only my birthday, but also my twin's birthday. While she isn't here to celebrate with me, I carry her with me in everything I do.
Baking has been one of the ways I process, celebrate, remember, and connect with others. So this week's menu feels extra special.
Every order, share, comment, and word of encouragement means more than you know. Thank you for supporting this little bakehouse and helping me turn flour, faith, and love into something beautiful. 🫶
