Let's talk about this luxurious black buttercream. Go ahead...zoom in...you know you want to. In order to achieve this rich color you will need your favorite vanilla buttercream recipe, a little black food gel. I used Americolor Super Black, but the secret ingredient is Black Cocoa. Yes!! It gives you the best color and the flavor is so nice. Another thing to note is to make your buttercream ahead of time so you can let that beautiful color develop overnight. If you are going to need red buttercream, also go ahead and make it ahead of time so you can let that color develop overnight. I hope this tip is useful to you. Now go ahead and make some of that beautiful buttercream icing.

Its been a busy weekend at Gigi's Sweet Treats 🍭. Baked a batch of cookies for dare I say it...Christmas in July 🎄🍪, I also made a batch of delicious Almond Royal Icing for those cookies and sorted through and made a sprinkle collection for the Christmas Cookies. Made some yummy Marshmallow Fondant. Its way better than store bought. Moved on to coloring some fondant and making and air brushing ninja stars. Oh! I also made a very last minute cake topper to embellish an upcoming cake order which I hope will make a boy smile. Hope everyone had a very happy weekend 🌞
