FCA FRIDAY RECAP

Cody Mixon from FBC Loganville shared James 4:8 with our students this morning.

Our natural tendency in life is to avoid those we’ve done wrong to, so when we become aware of our evil desires and actions our tendency is to run from God and avoid him… we fear that God will be mad at us and bring punishment on us, but James 4 gives us a promise that when we draw near to God he draws near to us.

He is the one who helps us deal with our evil desires and sin. We should run to him not avoid him.

Thank you to Victory Baptist for bringing donuts!

FCA FRIDAY

Thank you to Kenny Brooks for sharing with our students! Kenny is on staff with FCA and does so much for the Walton county community.

Thank you to Jonah Faulkner & for providing donuts!

Jeremiah 29:10-14
Our God is a father that loves us, and will redeem and restore us and any hardships. To trust him though, we must spend time getting to know him, talking with him, and praising him.

It’s in our times of reading and prayer we learn to trust him with our day, to better trust him with the big things that will come.

A daily time with him turns to a lifelong trust, and when life comes we lean on him knowing he is good!

🙏🏻 STANDING IN PRAYER • What started in 1990 with a handful of Texas teenagers praying at their school flagpole at night has exploded into a global movement.

Today, millions of students across the nation gathered together for the See You at the Pole prayer event. It’s entirely student-led, student-initiated, and fueled by a passion to lift up schools, friends, and communities in prayer.

Due to weather, we were moved inside to the gym, but that didn’t stop our prayers from being lifted up!

📣 Popsicle Ministry 📣

Today we took Popsicles to our cheerleaders! Two of our leaders who are on the squad, shared a word of encouragement with these girls!

Today is our last game so make sure you put on that beautiful smile of yours. We are great cheerleaders and you know that we work really hard. I don’t care what your peers say we are a sport. Just know that Jesus loves you and everyone around you loves you. So make sure today you walk in Christ and walk in school spirit. Know your values and let’s have a good game.

1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

🏃 Popsicle Ministry 🏃🏽‍♀️

Cross Country got their popsicles this week! Some of our leaders are part of the cross country team and shared a word of encouragement with their teammates!

Isaiah 40:31- Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

That verse plays a very significant role in our lives as athletes. In order to be successful in our sports we must learn to trust in the Lord. God has a plan and is with us every step of the way. You don’t have to worry about failure because when you do fail, God will be there to lift you up again. I encourage you, throughout the rest of the season, to put your trust in the Lord and when you’re struggling He’ll be there to take you the rest of the way.

✝️ FCA FRIDAY RECAP

Today’s main point: Connect with God. Connect with Others.

How can we connect with God? God is perfect and cannot be around sin. We are sinners but when we accept Jesus Christ, we are no longer sinners “While we WERE still sinners, Christ died for us” Rom 5:8 we become priests (1 Peter 2:9) and priest can directly communicate with God.

Though we still sin, we are not sinners but we are children of God and all of our sins are forgiven; past, present and future for there is no condemnation for those that belong to Christ Jesus (Rom 8:1). Only then can we Connect with God and be in His presence for a relationship.

Thank you to Chance Weaver from Graystone Monroe for speaking to our students this morning and for bringing donuts!
