Hello all you 65-year-olds or turning 65 this year!

If you’re on the fence about whether you want to come to the birthday bash on September 27th in Murphys, California just do it! We will meet at the Native Sons Hall. The time is 6-10 and admission is an appetizer. Music by Jim Chen. This is a busy weekend for Murphys as the Concourse D Elegance will be at ironstone Vineyards so if you wanna come earlier in the day, you could go check out some really cool vintage cars. There are restaurants, shops and it’s just a beautiful place to spend time. Even if you just stay an hour, people will love seeing you. If you have any questions, ask in the comments or send me a pm. Please RSVP here through the comments as well. I would like a head count by this Friday, the 19th. Let’s do this!

Hey all you Tokay tigers!

Most of our class is turning or have turned 65 this year. My husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday (September 19th) this year, and I said I want to celebrate my 65th with my classmates from THS! I said it jokingly but then I realized what a great idea that is!

So….. I’m having a birthday party for all that want to celebrate their birthday on Saturday, September 27th 6-10 pm at the Native Sons Hall in downtown Murphys! 389 Main St, Murphys, CA 95247

You maybe thinking, “That’s short notice!” but sometimes the best gatherings are had with little notice!

Jim Chen will provide the music and admission will be for guests to bring an appetizer, chips and dip, something to munch on as DINNER WILL NOT be served. However, we will have your appetizer, cake and ice cream!

Life’s short; celebrate often!

Hi, I am editing this original post to change the date to Saturday, June 21, 2025 and also attaching a venue that I think people attending the luncheon might be interested in and I think would be a lot of fun.

The original lunch ladies: Tracy Granados-Pollard, Sandy King Kuhn, Debbie Madrid Jungeblut & Tina Fehling Morones are responsible for gathering class members for an enjoyable lunch every month, and the group keeps growing. I feel honored to be a part of these luncheons. Thank you ladies!

Sometimes life goes full circle! Our class will be remembered for the We Will Rock You rally at Tokay High School. I've been a fan of Queen and saw them many times with Freddie Mercury. At the recent NAMM 2020 tradeshow in Anaheim, California, Brian sent me a Frank Red Special guitar. This is me with Barry Moorhouse from Brian May Guitars. Frank is the name of the robot from the News of the World album. I have a huge collection of stuff from News of the World, but this tops them all!

Greg Drennan opened up a new Quick Quack Car Wash in Millbrae, California and invited me to the grand opening. Greg has worked hard and now has 100 locations! It's always great to see friends from Tokay High!

Before meeting with the kids from Tokay High, John Hunt and I had lunch at A&W Rootbeer #1 which started in Lodi, California!!
