Today is Opening Day at Red Beards Treasure Chest in Locust Grove!! Go by and check it out. There is an inflatable for the kids also.

I added some fresh baked goods to my booth this morning. I had yeast bread and Cinnamon bread, but sold out before I could get a picture. There are 4 different varieties of brownies, chocolate chip cookies, peanut clusters, peanut butter disks (aka peanut butter cups), and mini loaves of banana bread.
My homemade seasonings are in there.

***I will have more fresh yeast bread available in the morning.***

Spending the next several hours in the kitchen getting ready for opening day tomorrow at Red Beards Treasure Chest Locust Grove.
Some of the fresh items I will take in early tomorrow are yeast bread, Cinnamon bread, Banana bread, brownies, cookies, peanut butter cups and peanut clusters. I also have some picked fresh this evening green beans.
Make plans to stop by the store between 10 and 5 and say Hi to Connie.

I made a post Wednesday and apparently it did not post, so here I go again.
I have a booth in the new shop in Locust Grove, Red Beards Treasure Chest, in the Old Dillard's store location.
I will carry my homemade spices, seasonings, cake mixes, pancake mixes and brownie mixes.
I will have daily/weekly specials on fresh breads, including banana, apple, cinnamon, lemon, jalapeño cheddar and herb. Brownies and cinnamon rolls. Homemade candy also.
Eventually I am hoping to have a small cooler to carry the mini cakes and truffles desserts.
As the season allows, fresh jams, salsa and pickles will be available.
I will also have homemade soaps.
Opening day is Monday, June 1st. Watch my page for the specials. Make plans to stop by regularly.
Oh and another thing, as of June 5th, I will be working there Fridays- Mondays, so come see me

I have made many changes in the past 6 months in how I cook.
I use fresh milled flour and unbleached flour now, the tastes are so different and incredibly flavorful. I have been playing with seasonings for a while now and finally have them where I want them. I make my own taco seasoning, brown gravy mix, ranch dressing season, bagel season, onion soup mix, beef onion soup mix, minced onion and garlic, onion and garlic powder, pancake mix, cake mixes and so much more. The difference in taste cooking with these are amazing. I am hoping by the middle of June to have all my packaging and labels to start selling these.
I don't buy bread, bagels, English muffins, biscuits, hamburger and hot dog buns or rolls from the store anymore. I've been buying big pork loins and making my own breakfast sausage, I'll never buy sausage from a store again.
It amazes me that all this has flavor that ive never tasted before, so fresh and good.
Garden is full and can't wait to start canning... everything.
