Homemade Chocolate Pudding

1.5 cups chocolate chips
1 cup milk (or almond milk)
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup maple syrup (or honey)
3 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp butter (or coconut oil)
Splash of vanilla
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Add all ingredients to saucepan and heat on low. Stir until chocolate melts.

Bring to a simmer while stirring (keep it on low). Cook until pudding becomes thick (about the consistency of custard), about 8-10 minutes.

Let cool, then refrigerate for a couple hours to help pudding set.
