This year, Down Home Cookhouse is giving back by serving our unhoused/underserved community here in Livermore a Christmas Breakfast!🌲

Something more than just a grab and go! Festive, plentiful and FULL of love! Everyone deserves that this season!❤️

We are serving this Friday, December 20th!

11 years strong! Before it was Down Home Cookhouse, it was a stay-at-home mom wanting to make extra Christmas money by baking her mom’s famous Rum cake for people for the holidays! My first year I was SO happy I sold 12! Over 12 new flavors, 1,000 cakes and a whole CATERING BUSINESS later, here we are!

No mater how busy my catering schedule gets, I’ll ALWAYS go back to my roots and offer cakes during the holidays. It’s my most happy place.

There is nothing I love more than a good ol’ party at a neighborhood bar! When reached out about helping with her brothers SURPRISE engagement and engagement party at the cooooolest OakTown bar - it was an immediate YES! 💍

We had the BEST time. A place filled with friends, family, music, laughing, and a shared love of “glizzys”(IYKYK!) was the perfect way to celebrate Lisa saying YES to her surprise proposal!

Our specialty hot dog bar can be catered to whatever occasion you’re having from a casual backyard bbq to a full on wedding (yup - doing one of those in May!). The groom-to-be and I had fun selecting this specific menu to fit his guests needs and they came back for seconds and thirds!

Congrats Jay and Lisa! See ya at your wedding during the 4th meal of glizzys! 🌭

Place your order for all your Christmas needs by clicking the link below. There are four pack bundlet boxes available on 12/18 and 12/20. Full cakes are available for pick up In Livermore through the week of Christmas and delivery to Castro Valley and Hayward on 12/22!

We are also adopting two families in our community this Christmas to fully fund their Christmas from gifts to groceries, clothes and beyond. There are ways for you to donate in your order form and additionally 50% of all the proceeds from any cake orders from now through Christmas will also go towards our families!

IT’S NATIONAL BUNDT CAKE DAY!!
My OG peeps know that this business of mine started TEN years ago as only making Bundt cakes to support my families holidays!! What started with one recipe (thanks Mama!) of the best. Ever. Rum. Cake. As now turned into over 10 flavors including seasonal selections!!
These cakes have been a part of people’s family traditions, office, parties, baby showers, weddings, teacher, gifts, birthdays, celebrations of life and more! I am so grateful how far I have come in the last 10 years. Thanks to all of you!
So in honor of national Bundt cake day, I am giving THREE people a cake of their choice to order this holiday season!!

reminiscing on when my babiest bestie wanted a Mermaid party for her 3rd birthday this year! Her mom Amanda Erin and I went into full party team mode: she’s on decor and I’m on food! Like always👊🏽

The Menu was d e l i s h and perfect for all ages!

We started with some yummy dips n chips including my fav pineapple jalapeño popper dip! Then it went like this:

🐚 asian chicken chopped salad
🐚 rolls (a must!)
🐚 red, white and blue berry salad
🐚 grilled luau sausages from
🐚 Hawaiian mac salad
🐚 bbq teriyaki chicken thighs
🐚 Korean Kalbi ribs
🐚 luau sausage fried rice

I want s’more S U M M E R…

Less than 3 weeks til we are back-to-school and I have simply not had enough pool days, beach trips, backyard bbqs and well….s’mores! (Let’s me real- I’m a summer baby-no amount of summer will ever be enough!)

These yummy s’mores bars we made yesterday were….summer dessert perfection 🫶🏼

*p.s. never ever make anything s’mores related unless you’re using marshmallows. Simply the best.
