It’s been a little quiet in the Pop Shop kitchen as we took some much needed time off, but we’re heating up the oven in excitement for the Holiday Village hosted by this Friday from 4-8pm! It will be better than a Hallmark movie because there will be Cake Pops! Come ready for some treats and don’t forget to say hi to SANTA! Can’t make it? To my customers, collaborators, market organizers, fellow makers, followers, and everyone in between: I am so thankful for you! You have allowed me to take a dream and turn it into reality. There is no greater joy than knowing my cake pops can put a smile on your face and bring you even a moment’s worth of happiness. We are slowly playing around with cereal-inspired cake pops! The first to be a “yes:” Fruity Pebbles! We make Fruity Pebbles cereal milk (inspired by !). We then add it to the vanilla cake batter, resulting in a slightly fruity and sweet cake, then we dip the baked cake ball in crunchy crushed up cereal. Transformation Thursday: cake pop edition 😉 funfetti is such a vibe! We make our cake pops from scratch and they are a labor of love: 20 minutes baking in the oven, an hour or two of cooling time, about 30 minutes of time spent rolling the cake + frosting mix, and about 24 hours in the fridge to let them “settle” before an hour or so of dipping & decorating. Usually a 2-3 day process, sometimes more depending on how many we are making! Keep an eye out for a photo of the final decorated product!
