Every year, in honor of Jeffrey's birthday, I have the privilege of donating a cake to someone special in his memory. It's a tradition that means more to me than words can express.
I haven't been making many cakes lately because of nursing school, and I realized just how much I've missed creating. This cake challenged me with its hand-painted details, but that only made it even more meaningful. It was made for a sweet little boy's first birthday—a celebration of new life while honoring a life that touched so many.
I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to know and care for Jeffrey. He had the kindest heart and a smile that could brighten even my hardest days. He taught me more than he could have ever known, and his memory continues to inspire acts of love and kindness through his incredible mom.
Jeffrey will always hold a very special place in my heart. Happy Heavenly Birthday, sweet boy. I love you, I miss you, and I hope you know how deeply your life continues to make a difference.
