Hi! It’s been a while, and I’m terribly behind.
This is my post to say I’m so sorry for being MIA the last few months. Especially in my emails/order forms over the last couple of months. Wedding season hit, and my days have been so busy with baking and filling the orders I have, and my 1 year old is has been loving the 45 minute naps lately. So I have been either working in the kitchen, or with my kid, and everything snowballed into the most behind with emails that I have ever been. I’m tackling it all today and tomorrow, and I am so sorry I’ve been so behind. I really do appreciate all the kindness and patience and I know I keep saying that, but it’s true. I knew working from home with a baby would be hard, but I didn’t really grasp just how little time I would have & it has been a wild ride. So, I’m still learning and figuring things out as I go. But I’m getting caught up and then I will be back on track. Thanks for reading, listening, ordering, and just for being really kind. 🫶🏻

At the beginning of the year, I would typically go through and pick my favorite posts/top nine for the previous year. unfortunately, I don’t think I even posted a total of nine times in 2024! The last year has been a whirlwind of new challenges — babies really do change everything…it has changed my mindset, my perspective, and challenged me on how much time I have spent in the kitchen over the last ten years. It’s all changed so much and I am learning and growing and finding a new normal.
But here we are, now in 2025 and I’m entering my 10th year of this gig. As I look back on the last ten years and all of the sweet clients, brides and friends it has brought me, I am so overwhelmed with gratitude. So here’s to the new year, new cakes, new brides, and all that is to come. Thank you for following me on this journey for so long and for continuing to support my small business. I am forever thankful and grateful to all of you, who order cakes and keep me busy. Thank you 🫶🏻

4 weeks ago, life became a whole lot sweeter. I’m so thankful for this little guy and the joy he has brought to our lives. I’m very obsessed with him.
(cake content will resume eventually - I’ve been a little busy lately 🙃)

still trying to keep up with some social media when I have the time. 🙃 I have so many weddings/cakes I never shared, so hopefully those will see the light of day while I’ve got a little time on my hands.

well, I meant to keep everyone updated on my 2024 schedule and then I didn’t. But this is my LAST week of work for a while. I am starting my maternity leave a little sooner than I had originally planned to get some things in order before the arrival of this little one (in 8ish weeks 😵‍💫).
Things will probably look a bit different once I get back into work, but for now the first month I will be back taking weddings is July 2024 (which is already fully booked, sorry!). I will likely start small with some custom cakes before then, but I will just keep y’all updated on when I open back up my books again. I will likely get some cake slices up stocked up this week & will definitely post when that happens.

It feels odd to think about having so much time off from baking/work, but I am so looking forward to this new chapter of life & I can’t wait to see how 2024 unfolds. Thank you for the love/support/kindness and I’ll be baking for you again before you know it! 🤍

my wedding season is pretty much over for the next little while! I’ve got a few more over the next couple months & then I’m switching focus to getting my house ready for this baby!

I just got my thanksgiving order form up and running (very behind, as usual) - so if you’re needing any treats for next week, be sure to check that out in my stories! I’ll definitely have a Christmas menu & then Valentine’s Day is super up in the air for me (it’s two weeks before my due date, so I might not be able to swing it). So if you’re wanting a treat box before I go on maternity leave next year, thanksgiving & Christmas may be your last chance for a while! 🤍
