Sometimes even longer than 45 minutes for baking depending on how large the cake is.
And 30 minutes for filling and crumb coating? Think closer to 1 hour if you want sharp buttercream edges.

A good little explanation of how to cut a cake. This method works really well with my cakes since they’re on the taller side. Sometimes a big ol’ slice of cake is just too much. Slice it like this and leave the option for seconds or leftovers!
