I do work full-time, own another business, captain several tennis teams, volunteer for charity organizations, and am heavily involved with my nephews. John Ash & I have spent the last week with no power due to the tornado 🌪️ touching down on our street last Friday. During that time, we successfully worked on several 🎂 cake/cupcake 🧁 projects with the assistance of borrowed kitchen facilities and our handy dandy battery powered Makita work light 🔦.
We completed 2 projects for my work: county agent cupcake kits for a hands-on workshop that I taught and a fundraising bake sale. We also created a Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 1st b-day cake (picked up 30 minutes prior to the tornado touching down) and a construction 🚧 themed 2nd b-day cake. WHY did we NOT go somewhere like a hotel, parent’s house, friend’s house????!!! We have 2 fur babies 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ that I refused to leave alone during all of the chain sawing, loud machinery, strange voices all around the house, no power, volunteers ringing the doorbell, etc. WE MADE IT!!! 🎉🍾
Folks are dealing with much worse, so we are lucky, thankful, & blessed. A huge thank you to John Ash 👏🏻 for making multiple trips to the store for me and creating/assembling boxes, etc. it was truly a team effort to accomplish these projects!!!
