Quick update and lasagna orders

Not much new on the moving issue. I have sent in a new proposal from the fire paint company to be looked at by the code officer. We will see what he says. I also spoke with a gentleman that owns a building right over the Lisbon Lewiston line, In Lewiston. It is big enough but set up as an office with no store front. I have checked into it a bit, and it is set that it can be made into a store front. I have asked him to look into the chance of him making it into a store front. As it has no front door entrance, only a single back door with no real parking there. Not convenient for what I need. We will see what he says.
It is still a waiting game for now. I will start to look elsewhere if nothing comes of these. The other option is to possibly close in the kitchen at Walt's place with 2 hour sheet rock. But that closes me off from being able to see into the main room and the entrance. Not a bad idea, but again, not very convenient.

I have a couple of orders for lasagna this week and will stock my freezer with more meatballs as well. It will be available for pick up this Friday (8/7) if anyone is interested. Please let me know soon so I make enough! The following week, I have a party with Chicken parm. That will be available for Friday 8/14.

Happy Monday!

Update on moving, Lasagna orders, and 1 piece of good news.

ok, as for moving, we are still no closer to getting into 13 Village Street (old Yankee grocer, Roopers, bootleggers, Walt's place)

We had a viable solution about the 2-hour fire rating, speaking with the fire paint manufacturer in California. Walt sent him all of the information needed. The make-up of the ceiling and the layers of it. We sent him pictures and descriptions. He approved it all, wrote up a report and sent it to us. We sent it to the town. The code officer proceeded to call the rep in California and had a conversation with him. He made him believe that we were lying to him about the description and what it is made from. He had a picture of it, the same picture we sent to the rep. From seeing that picture, he said that they were not what Walter to him it was. The rep was understandingly upset and sent a message saying he withdrew his approval. I spoke with the rep that same evening and explained to him what is going on here in Lisbon (He said he feels that he is in the middle of a soap opera) Which I agreed with him.
Today, we are going back into the building taking video and pictures that I will send to the rep in an email. We will confirm what is in the ceiling and confirm that materials that it is made up of.
I will keep you posted! People have been asking what they can do to help, and all I can say is to question the town. Tell them how you feel. If you have a story of your own, write it down and send it to the town manager directly (email is listed on the town site I believe)
I appreciate everyone's support. I have decided that even if I do not end up in this building, that I will still fight to prove the point to what is going on. Again, this is about codes only and nothing to do with any businesses. Please be respectful, as you all have been.

Lasagna! I was able to rent a commercial kitchen to do some work on Friday. My plan is (besides doing the order I have) is to make a pan of lasagna. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out and let me know how many you would like, so I can make enough. I will do all sent out cold 2 for $24. Half trays Normally $75 for $65 and full trays normally $140 for $130.

Ok, for a small piece of good news, I am going to stock sauce and dressing at the new store in Lisbon falls Weeping Willow Market & Cafe so, when they are open and you need a fix, you can stop in there! I will have it stocked there this week.

Happy Sunday! I am working on another food truck today and will bring sauce and dressing with me. At lisbon high school.. moxie days battle of the bands. Street Sausage food truck. Come grab some lunch, listen to some music and stock up on sauce and dressing on your way home!

Happy Thursday! It is going on 2 weeks since I have been closed. Patiently (not) waiting for something to give.

Anyway, I will be working on my friends food truck Sum'Battus BBQ in the Big Dipper Ice Cream parking lot on Friday from 11 to 3ish. I will bring sauce and dressing with me if anyone wants to come and stock up.

If you want to order ahead, send me a message or call/text 212-2249 to let me know. Otherwise, just stop in, grab a bit of BBQ for lunch and grab some sauce or dressing to bring home with you. I will have my square with me to take payments. Cash and venmo work great too!
