With the Farmers Market's seasons ending and our commitment to make bread for them is complete for the year, we will be able to implement our permanent hours. Service will be Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the dining area closing at 3:30.

We are 2 weeks into our journey of being open for lunch. As many of you know, we love to play to our strengths, so it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of bone-in fried chicken. While our sourdough panko has worked great with our fresh, hand-sliced chicken to make delicious tenders, it did not work well with the cook times for bone-in chicken. As a result, we have decided to leave that to those with the proper equipment (read $21,000 investment).

The good news is that this frees up prep time for some of the items that have been requested since we reopened... namely.... Burny Mac, Cubans, and Sausage & Kraut sandwiches. We have also redesigned our Smashed Potatoes & Gravy. And roasting lots of meats means great tasting au jus for the gravy.

In other news, the Red Beans and Rice have received great reviews and the sweet almond slaw is still a fan favorite! We are also proud to announce our new Smoked BBQ Chicken Sandwich!

Many have asked "why chicken and waffles?" The reason... because a waffle spanks a biscuit's butt! So, why NOT waffles. Our waffles will take you back to your favorite fair food and they compliment our Tenders perfectly.

We don't want to only post our beauties! Lol Mother Nature can be unkind to sourdough sometimes! Starter decided to take a vacation and this is what we got!

Closing at 2:00 today to start to replenish our bread supply. Stude-A-Baker's we'll have bread for delicious sandwiches tomorrow, and we should be back on track Wednesday for bread sales.

Monday 9/28

For the next several Wednesdays, Stude-A-Bakers will be closed, until mid-October, in order to give ourselves enough time to get everything up and running properly and to finish our summertime commitments.

After that time, we will be able to offer bagels and other bakery items. Also, for those who have been getting Stude-A-Baker's bread from Farris Fruit Market and J & T Country Store and Greenhouse, you can continue to pick up your sourdough bread at our location after the markets close. A Pinch of Happiness Spice Shop will still carry the Stude-A-Baker's Happy Italian bread made with their Italian Herbs blend, among other seasonal offerings.

We will see you at the store!

Monday 9/14

Between the heat and a few other extenuating circumstances, Stude-A-Baker's will not be reopening until next week.

This 100° 🥵 plus weather has made it difficult to think of 🍁"Fall" 🍁 dishes, but we will definitely have some old favorites and some newly delectable offerings! And we will, of course, have our Sourdough Breads, and be working on bringing you more sourdough products.

We will be spending time this week starting to populate our "Locals Only" retail area. If you are, or know of, a locally owned retailer that would be interested in sharing your products, contact us for more information. We love our community!
