made a delivery to Unique Auto Body | UT Collision Repair Centers this week and found something beautiful 🍩

they already had one of our boxes. it had exactly one donut left in it

this is what we call a repeat customer, and also what we call excellent judgment

so we handed over a fresh dozen, they fixed a bumper, everyone left better than they arrived

Honey Butter, powdered sugar with a side of honey butter dip for dunking

Powdered Raspberry Cheesecake, cheesecake filling rolled in powdered sugar

both only stick around til the end of August. when the month goes, they go

we’re closed at the moment, but Lindon opens at 6:30 and Lehi at 7, and everything gets cut and kettle fried by hand before either door does

that’s a few hours from this post. no pressure

July’s down to its last couple hours 🍩

ours went the way they all go — up before sunrise, hand-cut, kettle-fried, Grandma Ora Mae’s recipe, seventy-some years of doing it the slow way

the fryer’s off now. it’s back on at 7am tomorrow in Lehi and Lindon, and since we’re closed Sunday, Saturday morning is the whole weekend’s window

no pressure. just math

Tell your friends & your enemies that tomorrow is the last Friday of July and we’re choosing to take that personally 🍩

so here’s the plan: we’ll be up before the sun turning mashed potato dough into donuts, hand-cut and kettle-fried, out of the fryer while most of Utah County is still hitting snooze

7am, both shops, no day-olds ever, like... fresh-fresh kinda fresh

heads up though, Lehi closes at 1pm and the case usually clears out way before that, so “I’ll swing by after work” is a plan with some real structural problems

one more thing, settle a kitchen argument for us: is a donut hole a small donut, or is it its own completely separate food? we’ve been going back and forth on this for weeks and nobody has won yet

Servpro of Utah County grabbed a box and drove it to the Ronald McDonald House Mountain West at Primary Children’s, for families having the kind of week nobody signs up for

We made them fresh from scratch. Servpro drove them. Somebody got a normal, good, ordinary thing on a day that was anything but

That’s kind of the whole job. We make a donut, what you do with it is the part that counts

Doing something like this? Bring us in. We’d rather our donuts show up where they’re needed than anywhere else
