Mona, my husky, recently had surgery, so I figured it was a pretty good reason to come out of a baking hiatus for a minute!

I learned this one the hard way. 😂

One year I offered sourdough noodles for Thanksgiving. Great idea...until I realized I hadn't really thought through how long 15 pounds of noodles were going to take to make AND dry.

Then add packaging, orders, pickups, and everything I needed to do for my own family's Thanksgiving! 🥴

Christmas cookie boxes were another one. You have to decide what you're putting in them, figure out quantities for the size of your box, order boxes and packaging, make labels, take pictures, and give people enough time to order!

Planning your holiday items in advance is the best thing you can do for yourself and plan your schedule for it.

15 pounds of sourdough noodles taught me that one.

There is always something that needs done when you're running a business.

I can make one more batch. I can print more labels. I don't want to forget to respond to that message! I might need to order supplies.

SHOOT! I need to clean my kitchen...again. 😂

It is really hard for me to sit still to begin with. I always need to be up doing something. I used to feel like if I had the time, I should be using it to get ahead. That would make my week so much easier anyways!

But constantly trying to stay ahead eventually just made me tired.
I had to get better about letting things wait until tomorrow. 😒 I don't like doing that.

There will always be something else on the list. Sometimes you just need to be done for the day.
