One of the services we offer through Loaves and Fishes is $20 towards laundry for each household every month. This is possible through our partnership with SOAP laundry. We provide $10 and they kick in $10. This is quickly becoming one of our biggest expenses. Your donation through Give to Lincoln Day will help us continue this service that helps people maintain their dignity and promotes health and hygiene. Only a few days remain in this year's campaign. Our Community Meals program through Loaves and Fishes serves over 100 hot meals per week at St. Paul UMC. We have always tried to give our guests a restaurant-like experience which includes a choice of entrees and side items. It's all part of our mission to make sure that our neediest neighbors feel seen and have some dignity even while receiving help with the most basic of needs. We are so thankful for St Paul United Methodist Church! They provide us with the space to serve our Community Meals and space to store our supplies. The congregation provides almost all of our weekly volunteers. St. Paul's truly understands what it means to serve the least. We couldn't do our work in the community without our faithful partners. A huge shout out to the Super Saver at 27th and Cornhusker for allowing us to pick up food that can't be sold every Wednesday. This allows us to help get fresh produce and many other items into the hands and tummies of people facing food insecurity.
