The red umbrella stand is returning to Lincoln’s Rt 66 Park on Kickapoo Street to brighten your day☀️☀️☀️(Possible rain, but I’ll do my best to bring sunshine to your lunch hour).

Guess what I found at the store last week???

Bright Red, Fresh Cranberries!
At 65 yrs old I’d NEVER eaten a cranberry…until last fall😳🥧‼️

While baking for my church fundraiser Harvest of Talents last October, I discovered just how delicious pies baked with Cranberries can be! I was keeping an eye out for them…and here they are!

I love the fall fruit season. By adding fresh chopped pears or apples, my fresh berry pies get another level of flavor & texture. This is especially true with blackberries, blueberries or cherries!

I even bake Candy Apple Pie…made with fresh apples and cinnamon Red Hots candy baked in😳😁🍎. Making a gorgeous red sauce for the apples that is just cinnamon sweet goodness.

A few examples of my cranberry flavors include:
🥧 Fresh Apple Cranberry— Sweet local apples paired with tart cranberries and warm autumn spices
🥧 Cranberry Raspberry Rhubarb — Our award-winning rhubarb twist blended with bright raspberries and fresh cranberries
🥧 Cranberry Orange Walnut Crumble — Zesty citrus notes and toasted walnuts topped with a golden brown sugar crumble

All our pies are baked from scratch by me (Barb, aka RhuBarb) in my cottage home kitchen. No other bakers or help, just me making each pie by hand. Pies are a true labor of love and time. YOU are in my thoughts when I make your pie!

I abide by our local Logan County Health Dept regulations and have my IL Food Handlers license.

Sharing one of my favorite pie creations so far this fall🍂🍁

There is nothing like a pie made for sharing. This full-size mixed berry pie is packed with deep red, juicy berries oozing through the crust. Sprinkled with sparkling golden, orange fall color sugar, and topped with leaf cutouts 🍂🍁

I enjoy getting to be a little creative, and taking extra time with orders. This one was made for display at my church annual fundraiser Harvest of Talents.

Truly a labor of love to help support feeding the starving people across the world.🥧💕✝️

Delivering “part 1” of a very special pie order to my VERY Special Uncle today.

Uncle Terry I pray you , your children, grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchild have a wonderful reunion!

See you Friday with “part 2” !!!

For me pies are about family, memories of those that have passed, and paying homage to people special in your heart. That is the only way I know to bake, even if I don’t know you yet.

Our many thanks to the Overstock Outlet in Lincoln for hosting our set-up on the Square today😁.

Weather was great, people were happy to see pies, and the few leftover slices were given to law enforcement and the firehouse. Thank you for keeping us safe! 👮‍♂️🧑‍🚒

No set-up next week. We have a large pie order for family to enjoy, yay! 😁🏠
