A little update from Sleepy Cat Bakery

As many of you know, I’ve been working hard to grow my little bakery dream into something bigger — and I’m now in the process of becoming fully licensed through the state! 🩵

I’ve also had a lot of requests for custom cakes, and I’m planning to start taking limited preorders for cakes and baked goods so I can focus on quality and consistency.

I had to put weekend markets on pause as our household got a trifecta of sicknesses. With that beint said, I’ll be pausing my weekend markets for now while I focus on getting everything set up the right way.

That said, I’m so grateful for everyone who’s stopped by, shared posts, and supported me these past few weeks — you’ve helped me realize just how much I love doing this. While I take care of the licensing side, I’m considering opening up for custom and preorder options (like cakes or seasonal treats) so I can still bake for you while keeping things manageable.

Along with that, I’m dreaming up a cozy little Sleepy Cat stand that will feature not only my pastries but also handmade home and body products (like scrubs, candles, and more!) in the future.

Thank you for supporting me through each new phase your encouragement means everything as I grow Sleepy Cat into something truly special for our community.

Hi everyone!

Sleepy Cat Bakery will unfortunately be closed this weekend. Our house is feeling under the weather and I know I wont be able to put the same energy I usually do into baking for you all.

We will be open next weekend, hopefully with some exciting news! Stay tuned for more.

That’s a wrap for today! Thanks so much for everyone who stopped by.

Our second weekend turned out great! I just wanted to say how much your support means to me and my family. We completely sold out of croissants, breads and slices were a hit, and I’m learning more every time I set up the stand.

Not everything was perfect, but every week is a learning experience and I’m excited to keep improving and growing the bakery so I can bring you even better treats each Saturday.

Looking ahead… I’m thinking about offering turkey-shaped bread loaves for Thanksgiving. What do you think? Would that be something you’d love to order for your holiday table? Stay tuned for more!

Sleepy Cat Bakery is up bright and early and the ovens are full! Everything on the stand today is fresh, homemade, and made with lots of love.

On the menu you’ll find:
✨ Buttery, flaky croissants
✨ Chocolate chip cookies
✨ Pumpkin bread & zucchini bread (minis + slices)
✨ Pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon buttercream
✨ Apple butter (made with local apples, in glass jars!)

We’ll have plenty out! Just no artisan loaves this week as the recipe and I are still working things out.

The stand will be open soon, stop by for something warm and fresh to start your weekend right 🥐🍪🍂
