Hey y’all! 👋🏼 It’s been a minute, but I’m back! 🤎

I’ve had a lot going on over the past month and needed to step back for a little while, but I’m so excited to be back baking and doing what I love!

Since I’m back, I’ve decided to make a few changes to how things will work around here. Instead of rotating weekly items, I’ll be keeping a consistent menu going forward! 🥖🍪

While I’ll be sticking to the menu, if there’s something you’d like to request for a special order, feel free to message me! I’m always happy to discuss requests and see what I can work out. 🫶🏼

I’ll also be keeping the same order schedule as before, but I’m opening orders one day earlier:

📅 Orders open: Sunday at 8 AM
⏰ Orders close: Wednesday at 5 PM
📦 Pickups: Saturday

There will also be a few weeks where I’ll be closed. I will be completely closed Sunday, October 18 through Saturday, October 24, so I can take a little time away and enjoy some time with family. 🤍

Normal ordering will resume the following week!

As we get closer to the holidays, I’ll be announcing specific dates for when orders need to be placed and when pickups will be available. I want to make sure you all can still get your bread fix while also giving myself plenty of time to enjoy the holidays with my family. 🎄❤️

But good news — this week’s menu is staying the same! 🤎

While I’m keeping things simple on the menu, I’ve been busy behind the scenes test-baking some new goodies 👀🧁🍪 I’m working on a few things that I may be adding to the rotation soon, so stay tuned!

Hey everyone! 🫶

First and foremost, I want to apologize for not posting a menu this past week. I promise it wasn’t for nothing! I’ve been busy in the kitchen recipe testing and working on some exciting new additions for the bakery. 🍞✨

This week I tackled bread bowls and Italian Herb & Cheese Subway-style rolls. The bread bowls were a success (and they passed the soup test! 🤤), but let’s just say my shaping skills on the rolls still need a little work. 🤣 They’re not quite menu-ready yet, but we’re getting closer!

With that being said, we’re back to our regular programming! 🎉 I’ll be posting this week’s menu today, and orders will be open through Wednesday as usual.

As always, thank you all for your patience, support, and for following along on this sourdough adventure. I can’t wait for y’all to see what’s coming next! ❤️

Weekly Menu Update 🤍

Thank you all so much for your patience this week.

Due to an unexpected family emergency, my menu was delayed. To make up for the late posting, I’m offering a partial menu featuring all of my sourdough discard favorites this week!

✨ This week’s menu includes:
🍪 Sourdough Discard Sugar Cookies
🍪 Sourdough Discard Chocolate Chip Cookies
🧁 Sourdough Discard Chocolate Chip Muffins (Large & Mini)
🍫 Sourdough Discard Brownies
🍯 Sourdough Discard Blondies

💚 To give everyone a little extra time to order, I’m extending the ordering deadline by one additional day!

Bagel Update! 🥯🧀

We’re getting closer! ❤️

After today’s test batch, I’m really happy with the progress, but there are still a few small tweaks I want to make before sourdough bagels officially make their debut on the menu. I want them to be just right before I offer them to all of you!

It’ll likely be another couple of weeks before they’re ready, but I couldn’t wait to share how far they’ve come. Swipe to see the progress from one of my earlier test batches compared to today’s. 👀

Come bake with me! 🥯🧀

Today’s kitchen adventure? Sourdough bagels! 🤩

I’ve never made bagels before, so we’re learning together over here. They survived mixing, shaping, and now they’re hanging out in the fridge for their overnight cold proof. Tomorrow comes the fun part—boiling, baking, and (hopefully) enjoying some delicious bagels! 😂

I’m planning to make a few Everything, a few Jalapeño Cheddar, and leave a couple Plain because you can never go wrong with a classic.

One thing I promised myself when I started The Fermented Crumb is that I wouldn’t put anything on the menu until I know it’s something I’d happily serve my own family. So that means lots of recipe testing… and honestly, I don’t mind being the taste tester. 😋

If these turn out the way I’m hoping, sourdough bagels might just be making their way onto the menu someday! 🤍
