Hi Friends! I am SO happy to be back on here with some amazing and fun news!! I know its been a long while and last time I posted was mentioning that the farm stand would be temporarily closed due to a big family health emergency at the time.. Thank you all for being so patient and understanding, It was an incredibly difficult time for my family and I. We are forever grateful for every one who reached out with prayers, love and support. Praise God my Dad is officially now in full remission and doing incredible! We feel so blessed and thank God daily!
With that being said, I am ready to start baking for you all again and am super excited to announce that there is a huge change coming! For the years that Flour & Rise has been running I have always felt a passion to share my culture with you all and bring a little taste of Miami & Cuba to our sweet little towns we love here in Texas. What started as selling pastelitos and flan and hearing feedback on how much you guys love them made me want to share even more. Fast forward to this time off realizing that I really wanted to bring something that is not in our area and not only share my cultures sweets but also our delicious coffee! We have not been able to find it anywhere close to us so bringing it to share with our beautiful community means alot to me. my goal is to create a space that feels like a little piece of tropical paradise, a place where you can come and take a sweet sip of smooth bold espresso or have a bite of our delicious pastelitos and escape this fast pace world even for just a few minutes, to build a spot where friends can chat and fellowship with one another even if its under a little outdoor tent for the time being. I will now primarily be baking Cuban pastries, sweets, coffee and occasionally things like cuban sandwhiches. The farm stand located on our family farm will most likely not be making a comeback but I do plan to be putting a popup stand just about every Saturday around different areas around Liberty & Dayton. Please bare with me as I re brand this page and post all the fun things that come with it. the page name will be changing from Flour & Rise to Cafe Flamingo (more on the meaning of the name change coming soon), logo will be changed (posted below) and our first event dates will be posted soon! I apologize for the super long post and cant wait to bake and brew for you all soon!
