I genuinely don't even know how to put today into words. 😭

I set some REALLY big goals for myself for the Rockbridge Community Festival. I baked more than I have EVER baked before, and somehow today I surpassed every record I've ever had for Home Sweet Oven.

$2,100 in sales. TODAY. 🥳

But honestly, the part I keep thinking about is how many people showed up for me today.

My neighbors came. My friends came. I had people tell me they walked around the entire festival trying to find me. People drove from Covington because they saw my post. Someone visiting from California came to find me. I saw people from Silent Book Club, people from Rockbridge Ballet who help teach Alice, and so many familiar faces from around our community.

And my porch pickup regulars. 🥹 Some of you picked up orders you had already paid for at my house this morning and STILL came to the festival and bought more. Others who order from me all the time came just because they wanted to finally meet me in person.

And a special shoutout to my friend Allyson, who willingly spends her Saturdays sitting at festivals with me, keeping me company, helping me sell and bag up orders. I'm so thankful for you!!

And this record means even more to our family right now because we're getting ready for our IVF transfer at the end of September. Every loaf, cinnamon roll, cookie and preorder is helping us hopefully grow our family. ❤️

So really, really... thank you.

Thank you for showing up for me, telling your friends about my bread, sharing my posts, coming back week after week and supporting this little fresh milled bakery I run out of my house. 🌾🥰

I have officially baked my little heart out. 😂🍞
This is the MOST I’ve ever baked for one event, and every single thing is made with 100% fresh milled organic whole grain flour that I mill right here in my home.

Tomorrow, I’m packing ALL of this up and heading to the Rockbridge Community Festival from 9–3! I’ll be on Washington Street near the Lexington Coffee Shop.

Sourdough, pumpkin cinnamon rolls, pumpkin bread, apple coffee cake, cookies, soft pretzels, pizza crusts, oatmeal creme pies and SO MUCH MORE. 🍂

I’ve been baking alllllll day and now I just need you guys to come do your part and EAT IT. 😝😂

Yes, Home Sweet Oven officially has a mascot. 😂 My incredibly talented friend from Red Wing Crochet made this little fresh milled bread guy, and obviously his name had to be Toast Malone.

He’s making his festival debut THIS SATURDAY at the Rockbridge Community Festival ... but he’s a busy little loaf, so you never know where you might find him. 👀

Find me SATURDAY at the Rockbridge Community Festival in front of the Lexington Coffee Shop, on Washington Street (same place I was last year!). I'll be there from 9-3pm and I would LOVE if you came and sold me out again this year! And you all already sold me out of the NEW Peach Hand Pies, I had to restock them! 😂🍑

This week’s menu feels like the perfect little transition into fall:

🥧 NEW Peach Hand Pies - flaky, fresh-milled crust filled with fresh peaches
🍫 NEW Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread - I put samples out this weekend and my messages were FLOODED with people absolutely raving about it, so of course it had to make the menu!
🍎 Apple Cider Donuts - THEY’RE BACK! Soft apple cider donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar.
🍏 Apple Butter Snickerdoodles - chewy snickerdoodles made extra cozy with apple butter and warm fall spices.
🍞 Soft Loaf Bread - perfect for sandwiches, toast, French toast, or just a warm slice with butter.
🌾 English Muffins - perfect toasted with butter, jam, or for a breakfast sandwich.

As always, everything is made with 100% fresh milled organic whole grains and high quality, simple ingredients.
