First week of just catering in the books! While it was a bit hectic and the days were long, the move is mostly done and we are settling in! Hopefully in the next week or so DoorDash and GrubHub will be back up and running and we will be serving you again 🙂

But over the last week of the bakery/cafe we were shown a whole lot of love. It was a pleasure to be able to say good bye and send you home with the last breads and sweets. Thank you all who took the time to come by and wish us well!

As this chapter closes, we are looking forward to the next one. Hopefully our paths will cross again.

With a full heart and deep gratitude, I want to share an important update:

21 years ago, I left corporate America to start my own business and now it is time to move on to my next venture. I have been so blessed to be within ten minutes of my family and watch my 8 nieces and nephews grow up (and even luckier that three have worked with me) and have my Mom become the best pastry chef around. My family has been there every step of the way and there is no way I would be where I am without them.

The amazing people I have met along the way - not only customers - but also my fellow business owners, mail carriers and employees who have made this journey a little easier, have put a smile on my face and given me a little strength when I needed it.

It has been my honor to provide you with sandwiches, breads, sweets and drinks each and every day. I cannot thank all of you who followed me from Lexington Center 9 1/2 years ago to the beautiful bakery that my two brothers built for me in East Lexington. And for all of you who found us when we moved and continue to support my business - THANK YOU!

However, although I am closing the retail bakery & cafe, I will be continuing my catering business at a commercial kitchen in Lexington as well as DoorDash & GrubHub (there could be a week or so delay) so please feel free to reach out to me at 781-718-2212.

Last week I got a call asking me if we could cater for 20 people in a park in Brookline. As we continued our conversation I found out this kind gentleman was going to propose to his girlfriend and then meet their families for lunch.

This became the most important catering job I have done and we do a lot. Not that my other jobs are not just as important but I knew we needed to make this day perfect.
