Celebrated my birthday last weekend. Of course I had to make my own cake!

Bottom: German chocolate
Top: lemon with raspberry filling and raspberry cream cheese icing.

Am I the only one that hates working with dark colors?! I wanted to use black icing so I started coloring it 2 days in advanced to let the color set in. I only added a very thin top coat of it to hopefully not stain my guests mouth. I didn’t hear anybody say it did so I’m happy with that! I have several friends that are allergic to gluten, they had white chocolate cupcake with raspberry filling and raspberry cream cheese icing.

Thank you anaagadotari for helping with the decorations! And my honey (usmcdez) for making the cake stand and ensuring it worked perfectly!
