Many of our regular customers knew my mother was diagnosed with cancer this past March. Our family knew our time with her was now limited, more than ever before. I am so grateful that I was able to be there by her side.

She was the first to teach me to bake. Those of you who visited us during our official grand opening day may have met her and my dad. She loved our New York Style cheesecake, molasses and chocolate chip cookies, and anything chocolate.

You can now eat all the sweets you want mum, without gaining a pound. I love you! 💕

If y’all make it to Lewiston MI, let us know and we will bring over a couple slices of our most popular cheesecake, Tuxedo (chocolate cake, chocolate cheesecake, mascarpone no bake cheesecake and then topped with our homemade whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Three years ago today we opened our doors at 463 S Mount Tom Rd, Mio. Today, we close.

It has been a true pleasure serving all of you over the last three years.

This is not good-bye, but we’ll see you on the flip side—2.0.

Good morning to all our friends, near and far!

This is LoopieLu reminding everyone that we have 2 days before we close our Mio store front.

After December 20, if you’re in need of sweets please contact us at [email protected]. We will update you when we get a new phone.

Also, after December 31, we will no longer be able to make lemon bars, key lime pie bars, cheesecakes, cannolis, cream puffs and jalapeno cheddar or Asiago New York Bagels. Why? Because we have to follow state regulations on Cottage food businesses. These all have to be baked in a commercial kitchen.

I just want to reiterate how much I will miss all of you who have supported our little bakery in the woods.

We are hoping to see some of you before we close.

If you want to stock up on some of your favorites, Christmas cookies, cheesecakes, bars, cookies, cakes, etc. can be frozen in case you want to stock up.

Please continue following us as I will be updating everyone about our next steps. Fingers crossed we find a commercial kitchen within the next 5 months.

It may look like we’re closed with our vehicles missing but Michael and LoopieLu are here all day prepping and baking holiday orders so please stop by and say hello and grab a sweet from our cases.

Please note: we are sold out of bagels. Moving forward bagels will be sold as special orders.

We will be closing today at 3pm. We will reopen on Thursday at 11 am.

***Christmas order’s are due by Wednesday, December 19. Call us at 989-826-1956 during our business hours, Thursday - Monday from 11 am to 5 pm.

***please note: even though our store front is closing Saturday, December 20, we will be taking special orders at the bakery until Wednesday, December 31.

***Starting January 1, Michael and I will take special orders and bake from my home kitchen. We will keep you all posted.
