Meet my brother Andrew 🤍
If you stop in on Friday afternoons or Saturdays, you’ll probably find Andrew behind the case or helping at the counter. He’s not only an incredibly intelligent part of our team — he’s someone I’m deeply proud to stand beside every day.
Andrew is on the autism spectrum and has Asperger’s, which can sometimes make communication with new people a little different. He may be quieter at first, more direct, or take a moment to respond while he processes what’s being said. That’s simply the way his mind works — and it’s also the same mind that brings an amazing level of focus, honesty, and attention to detail into our bakery.
As his big sister, I’ve had the privilege of watching the ways his differences have always been strengths. The world often calls them disabilities, but in our kitchen, they show up as dedication, loyalty, and a heart that cares deeply about doing things right.
At Dough’pamine Queens, we believe everyone deserves patience, kindness, and to be loved exactly as they are. The things that make us unique often become our greatest superpowers — and Andrew is a beautiful example of that.
We’re so proud he’s part of our family, our team, and the dream we’re building together. When you see him, you’re seeing someone who truly helps make this place what it is!
