I know most of you are wondering what's going on with Kneaded Specialties. It was with a lot of consideration that we decided to close the bakery location in Lees Summit. Though this is not the end of Kneaded Specialties we have decided to start our very own line of baking mixes and hope to have them on store shelves in the very near future. We are very grateful to our customers and fan base and we hope you all will keep an open eye out for our new mixes coming to store shelves sometime after the new year!

As some of you know, I’ll be in Kansas City next week, speaking at the annual Skills USA National Competition. If you’re not familiar with Skills USA, don’t blame yourself. Most people have never heard of them, even though they’ve done more to reinvigorate the skilled trades than any other organization on Planet Earth. While I’m there though, I thought it might be fun to shoot a few stories for Somebody’s Gotta Do It, which is now scheduled to premiere on CNN in three months. (Gulp.)

I’m looking for passionate people who love what they do, know what they’re talking about, and live in or near KC. It doesn’t have to be dirty, and it doesn’t have to be a job. Mad scientists, bloody do-gooders, hobbyists, collectors, treasure hunters, or anyone on a quest - quixotic or otherwise - are all fair game. We’ve already shot some great stories in Nevada, Texas, Maryland, and Iowa, thanks to the many excellent suggestions I’ve received from people on this very page. Toward that end, I need some more. So...who do you know in Kansas City that America needs to meet?

I’ll pass all your ideas over to production, and with a little luck, put together an episode around KC. (Sorry for the short notice. I'm not a very good producer.)

Just a little reminder for everyone, you can now find our frozen pizza crust, hamburger buns, hotdog buns, & garlic breadsticks sold in the FREEZER section at Natures Pantry, Olathe Hy-Vee The Brand New Location, and Lawrence Hy-Vee. If you are interested in seeing these items at your local store please let us know or better yet just ask the Health Market MGR of your local store to add frozen items from us and they will! Happy Grilling Season Everyone!

As of TODAY Most Stores have the following fresh items on the shelf:
Pumpkin Pies
Cherry Pies
Apple Pies
Pie Crust
Plain Croutons (for stuffing)
Deluxe Dinner Rolls
Honey Butter Bistcuits
and so much more...

If you are buying stuff for your thanksgiving dinner early remember to freeze all bread items, muffins, pies so they stay fresh for your dinner all our products freeze well for up to 6 months. We will be delivering more of the above items (but not as many as we sent out today!) next Monday and Tuesday those will be smaller orders so you may not find what you need on the store shelf if you don't get it when you see it things are selling out quick!

Also some new (old) locations to add that got fresh deliveries today! Hy-Vee Kansas City #2 off of Englewood, Green Acres NKC, Hy-Vee Liberty off of 64th street, and ALL 3 LOCATIONS in Columbia has FRESH items on the shelf right now! Lawrence Hy-Vee off of Clinton Pkwy. has fresh Pies and lots of other things available as well!

First things first we would like to Thank Each & Everyone of our Fans/Customers out there. You all are the reason we have been able to keep our doors open for 4 Years we are so thankful for your support, and we hope for many more to come. Second Thanksgiving is just a mere 2 weeks away (YES 2 WEEKS!!) we will be offering Fruit Pies, Pumpkin Pies, and Pie Crust. As well as our Deluxe Dinner Rolls, Cornbread, Croutons and Breadcrumbs for Stuffing, Garlic Breadsticks, Cranberry Orange Muffins, Pumpkin Muffins, Honey Butter Biscuits, ect. for the Holiday we will be selling these items at the grocery stores but you must order from your health market manager at Hy-Vee, you can also order by calling us and we can deliver your items to your Hy-Vee. Or Customer Service at Natures Pantry ASAP If Picking up directly from our location we need special orders to be placed this week and next week for pick up on Wednesday the 27th before 12pm we will be closing early that day and will not be back in the Bakery until the following Monday Dec 2nd Please give us a call if you have any questions or want to place an order 816-525-8989. One More Thing Becky our wonderful demo lady will be offering free samples of our YUMMY Pumpkin Pie at Natures Pantry Tomorrow Night for their Elegant Evening stop by taste the pie and place your orders early! Old Hallows Eve is Creeping up on us, so this week to prevent any "Spine Chilling" sell outs at your local grocer we are sending extra sweet treats for all of you last minute shoppers there will be Extra "Spooky" Sugar Cookies, Extra "Bootastic" Chocolate - Vanilla - & Apple Spice Cupcakes, and Extra "Frightening" Cakes (of all kinds) on the shelf for all of your Halloween Goons and Goblins needs. We are delivering early to all grocery locations this week all stores will have fresh deliveries on Wednesday by or after 4pm! So if you need those last minute school party treats or even just some tasty treats to share with your family & friends there will be lots on the shelves at your local grocery store! Also we are doing a Demo (free samples) on Halloween at Nature's Pantry so come in grab a sample (say hi to Becky our demo lady.) and something off the shelf everything is an additional 5-10% off when you use your pantry shoppers cards!!

For all of you who live or might know someone who lives in Salt Lake City Utah or nearby we are going to be at the GLUTEN FREE EXPO this weekend SATURDAY OCT 12th @ South Town Exposition Center 9575 South State Street --Sandy, Utah 84070 from 9am to 5pm we will be handing out gift bags with free stuff from our bakery and have LOTS of free samples so come on by or send people by our both this weekend for some free stuff from Kneaded Specialties Gluten Free Bakery, LLC.!!! This is an opportunity for consumers in the western region to sample our product and we are hoping to have our products featured in more grocery stores across the nation!
