All I want for Christmas is this pumpkin cinnamon swirl sourdough!! 😍🌲
My niece was begging me to bring this to Thanksgiving again this year. It’s so good toasted with butter & cinnamon sugar, or even cream cheese, and it makes a BOMB French toast 🤤 Some loved ones of mine might be finding some in their stockings this year 🎅🏼

Here’s why:
• having another little one, my time is more valuable now & I have to make more sacrifices in order to get your loaves made for you!
• in comparing with other pricing in the area, but also keeping in mind that I use high quality ingredients that cost more than what other bakers typically use.
• more experience under my belt & my loaves have continued to improve over time.

This week marks one whole year since I officially started The Broken Loaf! 🎉
Yesterday, on the actual anniversary, we watched church from home (thanks to a sick little one) and used my sourdough for our communion - a sweet reminder of the meaning behind the name Broken Loaf.
I pray God continues to bless us (and you all!) with this humble little business. 🙏🏻❤️

Well hello again friends; it’s been a hot minute! I’ve missed you all!
In April we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl! 💕
So I popped that starter in the fridge to hibernate for a few weeks while we adjusted to our new normal.
And the time to pull it back out has arrived!!

Hello again bread-lovers!! I’ve been a little quiet over here the last few months as we found out we’re expecting another baby! ❤️
I needed to pull back that first trimester, but I’m back & ready to get you all some yummy bread for your holiday season!!
I’m of course doing my regular boule & sandwich loaves ($10) and have also added pumpkin cinnamon swirl ($12)!

Sourdough is kind of a hot trend lately! So what makes mine different?
Let’s break down the ingredients I use:

•Sandwich Loaf
- organic, unbleached flour 🌾
- filtered water 🚰
- unrefined ancient mineral sea salt 🧂
- organic, raw cane sugar (or sometimes raw honey instead 🍯)
- salted butter 🧈

•Boule Loaf
- organic, unbleached flour 🌾
- filtered water 🚰
- unrefined ancient mineral sea salt 🧂
- organic extra virgin olive oil 🫒

We don’t mess around with quality around here! It really makes a difference in flavor and for your health too. 💪🏼

Because of the fermentation process, it actually has prebiotics that are helpful for digestion & your gut microbiome! (Less inflammatory too 👍🏼)
It also has a lower glycemic index than other breads & more nutrients in general.
And of course it’s just downright delicious so it truly takes the gold! 🥇
