🌟 Vendor Spotlight: B’s Country Bakes 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on B’s Country Bakes , owned by Janelle Bolton! If you love homemade sourdough and sweet treats made with simple, organic ingredients, this is a booth you’ll want to visit.

Janelle’s sourdough journey began as a hobby after the campground flooded and she needed something new to do. What started with her own sourdough starter quickly grew into a passion—and now she’s joining us for her first year at the Farmer’s Market!

At B’s Country Bakes, everything is made to order and in small batches by Janelle herself. You’ll find sourdough breads, cookies, Chex mix and other goodies. Customer favorites include jalapeño cheddar (which make epic grilled cheese), and cinnamon honey butter, while Janelle says jalapeño cheddar is her personal favorite.

For Janelle, one of the most rewarding parts is seeing people genuinely enjoy something she made. She still works full-time, so B’s Country Bakes truly is a passion and hobby that she makes time for—and she says she has to keep herself busy!

When she’s not working or baking, Janelle enjoys scrapbooking and camping with her family. She also loves meeting people at the Farmer’s Market who enjoy her products as much as she enjoys making them.

Janelle is thankful for everyone who has purchased something, stopped by her booth, shared a post, or recommended her to others. Supporting local means supporting a real person, a family, and the hard work that goes into every product.

🌟 Vendor Spotlight: Sacks Second Avenue – Le Mars 🌟

If you've ever stopped by Sacks Second Avenue – Le Mars, you've probably noticed there's a little bit of everything! A friend once described Corinne Brouwer's booth as a "general store" of the Farmer's Market, and it's easy to see why.

Since joining the Farmer's Market in 2018, Corinne has grown her business from selling reusable Christmas gift bags into a booth filled with practical, handmade creations. Her husband even came up with the clever business name as a play on Saks Fifth Avenue.

Today you'll find an incredible variety of handmade items including:
🧵 Hot & cold corn bags
🧦 Sack Socks for storing plastic bags
🥣 Bowl and ice cream pint cozies
🐾 Dog bandanas
☕ Java jackets
👓 Glasses cases
🎁 Reusable fabric gift bags
🧺 Homemade laundry detergent
🥕 Plus seasonal garden produce!

It's truly a family affair at Sacks Second Avenue. Corinne's youngest son offers delicious mini donuts and chocolate chip cookie dough balls, while her oldest son creates Perler bead designs and mini lumbar support pillows. Together with Corinne's dad, they proudly operate a three-generation Farmer's Market booth.

Corinne loves creating products that are both functional and fun, and she's always willing to try something new. In fact, her motto has become, "I don't right now, but I can!" She also enjoys taking on custom sewing and mending projects, including heartfelt memorial keepsakes made from a loved one's clothing.

When asked what she enjoys most about the Farmer's Market, Corinne says it's the sense of community. Whether it's helping each other chase down products on a windy day, making new friends, or meeting visitors from near and far, she treasures being part of the Le Mars Farmer's Market family.

Be sure to stop by Sacks Second Avenue this Saturday to browse the unique selection of handmade items, tasty treats, and fresh produce—you never know what treasure you'll discover!

BAKING UPDATE

We have some incredible news to share with all of you, and we couldn't be more thrilled: The Scheitler Bakers are NOT retiring after all!

When we first announced our retirement, our hearts were heavy at the thought of hanging up our aprons. So many people have reached out asking if we can keep going.

We are beyond excited to announce that the Feller family, our nephew and his family—are stepping in to help keep the ovens burning! With their energy and dedication joining forces with us, we will all continue baking together. They will learn what we do and the recipes for all our great products.

To mark this wonderful new chapter and the coming together of our families, our name is officially changing to:
Scheitler/Feller — The Country Bakers

Rest assured, your favorite treats, traditions, and friendly faces aren't going anywhere—we're just growing our family to better serve yours. Come on by, say hello to the expanded crew, and let’s celebrate together!

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming love and support you showed us for so many years. We are so grateful we get to keep baking for this amazing community. ❤️

So starting October 1 our families will come together as one. All the baking will continue to be done at our home. Next year you will see the Feller Family at the Le Mars Farmers Market. Joyce and myself will still make an appearance to help out and get them started.
All orders will still come to Joyce and Rob.
