I want to express my appreciation for all your support and love for my cakes. However, there are a few updates that I need to announce.
I took a much-needed break to recharge my creativity and passion for baking. During this break, I realized that I have to increase the prices of my cakes. You guys go to the grocery store, so I am sure you will understand.
I am an ingredient snob, and I want to use only the best ingredients, especially butter. Unfortunately, this means that I cannot keep the prices the same. I have had a hard time increasing prices because I don't want to charge customers prices that even I wouldn't be comfortable paying for a cake.
However, I've realized that by keeping the prices the same, I'm breaking even or even losing money with some orders. As a home baker I don't have as much overhead as a storefront, but I still have costs. Additionally, I will also have a $100 order minimum from now on. Please understand that I work a full-time job, so I won't be able to take every order, but I plan to have special pop-ups to offer my treats on a smaller scale.
With all that business taken care of...My next tasting will be February 24th!
