SELAH means "pause" or "rest" in the Psalms, and that is exactly what we want to be for you: a resting time in the middle of the week for you to come and get refreshed and recharged as we explore God's Word, connect with each other, and, of course, drink some good coffee! We are built around 5 pillars
S- Scripture. God's Word is living and active, so that means it is relevant to our lives! Each w
eek we will have a Bible study on topics that we can apply to our everyday life. However, we don't just expect you to sit there the entire time! Our teaching time is going to be way different than anything you have ever seen; with opportunities for you to ask questions and study the Bible together to see what the answers are. L- Life/Learn. Ok, this one we kind of cheated on. One of the main purposes for this group is to reach out to the young adult age group. In Selah, we want to do LIFE with you, not just hang out once a week, but encourage you through texts and prayers throughout the week as well! This is a community, we want to be there for you. This also is a place that we want you to LEARN new stuff, so in addition to Bible study, we will occasionally have mini-series on real-life topics like finances, marriage, etc. A- Apply. Knowledge is good, but being able to apply that knowledge is better. We will always be addressing ways that we can take what we have LEARNED from our Bible study and apply it into our everyday lives. H- Hour. Yep, that's it, we are starting at just one hour long. Why? Cause we know life is busy, you have school, you have work, you have kids, and sometimes, one hour is all you can spare. Will we stay at an hour? We're not sure yet, that will depend on you! We hope to see you at SELAH! In His Name,
Josh Caton
