Doughboy has been craving this since the very first loaf, so I finally made him another one! 😂

Smoked sourdough loaded with smoked cheese and a whole POUND of bacon, then finished in the smoker. If you’re going to make a bacon loaf, you might as well go all in! 🥓🧀🍞

Getting ready to feed our starter for next week’s loaves! 🍞 The bread-making wheels are turning here at Clara’s Crust!

We’ll be at The Station of Hartwell’s Farmers Market this Wednesday, and this will be our last visit until the Christmas Market. Come see us and get your sourdough fix!

Want a particular loaf? Get your order in today, and we’ll bring it to the market for you to pick up!

Of course, you don’t have to wait until Christmas for more bread! You can always call, text, or message us to order directly. We’ll keep the dough flowing! 😊

All it needs now is a taste tester, and Doughboy has generously volunteered for the job. 😂 Funny how he’s always available for that kind of work!

My kitchen is in test mode again! 😂 Apparently, vacation gave my brain a little rest, because now it won’t stop cranking out bread ideas!

This morning’s creation is a cranberry orange sourdough loaf. 🍊🍞 A little tart, a little sweet, and hopefully a whole lot of delicious!

Well, we cut into the revamped pumpkin loaf, and it tastes pretty darn good! 🎃🍞

That swirl you see is pumpkin purée, brown sugar, and pumpkin spice that I spread onto the dough while shaping. A little extra fall flavor tucked right inside!

We’re home, rested, and ready to get the dough flowing again tomorrow! 🍞

Our much-needed Florida getaway was filled with terrific food, new people, a lighthouse visit, and a beautiful sunrise before we headed home. We even saw a rocket lift off while riding bikes on the beach!

Of course, the bike ride wasn’t all sunshine and ocean breezes. We ended up taking our bikes for a WALK for almost two miles. 😂 By the time we got off the beach, I was DONE. Detlef offered to get the car, and you don’t have to ask me twice!

Now it’s back to reality and back to the kitchen at Clara’s Crust! If you’ve been waiting for your sourdough fix, get your orders in. Call, text, or send me a message to order your very own fresh loaf, made just the way you like it.

We had a wonderful time away, but it’s good to be home. Let’s make some bread!

While my husband is in the pool — doesn’t that sound ritzy? 😂 — I snuck away to do a little work. Apparently Clara’s Crust doesn’t completely go on vacation. 🍞🌴

I’m STILL totally amazed by how much bread y’all bought at the Lavonia Fall Festival. Seriously, I don’t think I’m over it yet! ❤️

But something else happened that day that I’ve been thinking about. So many people came up and asked, “Where can I buy your bread?”

Well, I realized maybe I haven’t done a very good job of telling everyone this…
