Hello,

We are deeply saddened to share that one of our compañeros from the J.D. Smith Middle School Mariachi program passed away today due to injuries sustained this past Friday in a senseless tragedy caused by an impaired driver.

Cristofer was an incredibly bright and talented young man—confident, passionate, and full of life. His dedication and drive earned him a well-deserved place in Mariachi Los Bravos, where his presence made a lasting impact on his fellow musicians. He will be profoundly missed by his mariachi family and all who knew him.

It is never easy to mourn the loss of someone so young. If you are able, please consider supporting Cristofer’s family during this heartbreaking time.

For the first time, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is debuting a mariachi program exploring the traditional Mexican folk music that originated in the late 1800s.

We worked so hard and over came so much together! We are so proud of all of you. Now it’s time to celebrate in New York City!

We would like to officially invite y’all to come join us at our Mariachi Madness this Thursday, December 14th. There will be an entrance fee of $3 per person. The concert will last from 4-9:30pm. We will be selling all sorts of delicious food such as: tacos, tamales, posole, pupusas, pizza, champurrado, aguas frescas, desserts, etc. We are very excited to continue the tradition! 🙌🎶 Please come on by and help us celebrate our first Mariachi Madness in 3 years! We can’t wait to see our community come together to enjoy the beauty of mariachi music. 💙🎶

We want to congratulate our very own Yasmine Dueñes on being named the Overall GRAND CHAMPION vocalist at the Mariachi Extravaganza! She will be opening the Mariachi concert tonight alongside Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan! She is also a winner of 5,000 in scholarship money! And lastly, she will be performing in the Houston Mariachi festival as well as a featured soloist!!! Congrats Yasmine!!
