It’s officially the end of summer, and what a summer it was ✨

(And yes, we’re counting the Platform by JBF dinner b/c it was during the kids’ break haha)

We had so many incredible opportunities come our way, and we’re so thankful we were able to spread the word about MILKFISH Bakeshop in so many exciting ways 🙏🏽

We also had the best time popping up and collabing with friends, all while supporting our community 🫶🏽

AND I got to meet and bake for Paola Velez | Chef & Author , Genie Kwon & Tim Flores kasama ?! Get out of here!!

I’ve been reflecting a lot about how younger me (even me from 5 years ago) couldn’t have dreamed that half these things would happen, and I could not be more grateful ♥️

I’m even more grateful that the rest of the year will be incredible still!

We CAN’T WAIT to announce what we have in store for:

- Filipino American History Month next month 🇵🇭
- Our next Collab (hint: it’s in the Arts District), and
- Our next Bake Sale, to raise money for another local nonprofit

Thank you all for supporting us along this amazing journey of ours!

Thanks so much again to everyone who came out to our pop-up The Dustland last Thursday!

As a reminder, karioka sales from that night, plus 100% of tips from all of you awesome folks, are being donated to Nevada SPCA 🐾

So together, we all raised $386, in support of the Nevada SPCA’s mission to provide care for vulnerable pets, and to find them loving homes!

Thanks for joining us in supporting another amazing, local organization 🩶

Just a friendly reminder that I’m super grateful to borrow fancy kitchen gadgetry (at least for me) to get through prep 😅

Here’s the menu for our pop-up The Dustland this Thurs the 17th!

We’ll be there from 8pm til late (or sold out).

We’re bringing back our HALO HALO while it’s still hot out. And we’re finally bringing back our DULCE DE LECHE-STUFFED SEA SALT COOKIE!

And for this pop-up, we will be donating the sales from our KARIOKA, plus all tips, to the Nevada SPCA , Las Vegas Valley’s no-kill animal shelter, in support of their mission to finding a loving home for all animals.

We asked the Dustland’s very own KAT THE BARTENDER what local nonprofit means a lot to her, and we were so excited that she wanted to raise the money for them 🐾

KARIOKA is a popular street food in the Philippines 🇵🇭

These coconut mochi fritters are typically tossed in a coconut glaze and placed on a skewer (to mimic BBQ skewers).

We add coco jam toffee sauce, latik & Lennie Buenaflor DiCarlo Ilocano Asin sea salt, giving it the perfect balance of salty and sweet.

I say this all the time, but it’s def worth repeating: if someone can only have one bite of food from MILKFISH Bakeshop , I ALWAYS want it to be the karioka.

Our LONGGANISA CHEDDAR DROP BISCUITS are the perfect meryenda for any time of day!

Lots of longganisa, lots of butter, tons of sharp cheddar, and some sliced green onions to round them out. So delicious 😋

*If you ever take some home, make sure to reheat them in an air fryer, toaster oven, or regular oven! The butter will get all melty and glisteny when it’s ready 🤩*
