The time has come to say goodbye. It has been a 3 year journey but my family is calling my name and I am happy I can afford to hear that call.
I learned a lot a long the way. I pushed my limits and got outside of my comfort zone. My goal with Sinful Sweets Cakery was to create something successful from scratch in order to teach my girls that you can do anything you set your mind and soul to. I feel accomplished as I created a successful business. Even though I knew nothing about baking, decorating, marketing or business practices, I educated myself, attended workshops, classes and walked along side many great mentors. I created community and gained some great friends along the way.
I will miss the artistic aspect of my journey but my family called me. My girls and baby boy will only be kids for so long and I cannot, in good faith, miss what I can’t get back later on. My marriage and my family deserve my quality time and I am happy and blessed to be able to afford closing Sinful Sweets Cakery in order to enjoy their presence.
Having said that, THANK YOU. If you are a client, thank you for financially supporting my journey. If you are a friend or fellow baker, thank you for inspiring me and for supporting my creative outlet. If you are a mentor or teacher, thank you for educating me so I could be successful in creating something I knew nothing about. Finally, if you are just here to see pretty desserts and to engage with my page, thank you! Please know your engagement was my fuel to keep going during crazy days when I questioned my own sanity.
My page will remain open as I do have 3 years worth of desserts that I haven’t had time to post yet and I want to do so. Even though I will not be selling desserts, I do want to continue to be a source of inspiration for fellow bakers as well as a supporting friend for those still baking their hearts out or brands I truly loved and enjoyed working with.
Thank you for 3 years of having a kitchen full of sprinkles, powdered sugar and a whole lot of butter.
Much love,
Juliana.
