MU***OS FEST WAS ONE HELL OF AN EXPERIENCE!

WOW, San Antonio! You definitely know how to celebrate Día de Mu***os!

From the incredible setups, breathtaking ofrendas, beautiful decorative displays, talented artists, amazing vendors, live performances, and thousands upon thousands of people celebrating Mexican culture and traditions, Mu***os Fest is truly something everyone should experience at least once!

We feel incredibly blessed and honored to have been selected to participate as craft vendors at one of the largest Día de Mu***os celebrations in the country!

Now, I won’t sugarcoat it. 😂 Our adventure started off a little rough! It took us 9 hours to unload, haul everything in, and completely set up our booth! But once everything came together, it was absolutely worth every exhausting minute!

What makes this experience even more special is remembering where we started. We built this business from absolutely nothing. We spent countless hours creating, painting, building, and stocking enough handmade inventory for two major Día de Mu***os celebrations. Then we packed everything up and took our little Mexican Gothic business all the way to San Antonio to showcase our work alongside some incredibly talented artists and vendors.

And let me tell you, we showed up and showed out!

Thousands of people stopped by our booth throughout the celebration! Some came to purchase our handmade creations, others admired our family ofrenda, asked questions about our work, took pictures, or simply stopped by to say hello. We even had Las Cruces and El Paso customers stop by the booth.Every conversation, compliment, purchase, and moment of appreciation meant so much to us.

We want to give a huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to the entire Mu***os Fest committee for giving Enchanted Sweets the opportunity to showcase our Mexican Gothic creations and share a little piece of our culture, creativity, and traditions with San Antonio. We are beyond grateful!

And now we’re heading home for another incredible weekend!

We want our community to come out, get creative, and participate in the celebration! For this special weekend, we’re offering ALL our Paint Your Own Calavera kits for just $15 each!

Everything is included! Choose your Calavera, paints, brush, and decorations. You can take your kit home or sit down and paint with us throughout the day! Bring the kids, bring your family, and make some beautiful memories together.

New build your own mini ofrenda for only $20.00

We’re also introducing our new interactive Build Your Own Mini Ofrenda setup! Come create your own little ofrenda using our handmade pieces and celebrate the beautiful traditions of Día de Mu***os. You get a 12 piece kit and mini ofrenda or your get to choose your own 12 pieces.

Plus, we’ll have plenty of new handmade Mexican Gothic crafts, Calaveras, ofrenda pieces, and so much more!

We’ll be bringing our delicious, refreshing Aguas Frescas to Old Mesilla!

Don’t forget, we’ll also be set up Saturday Halloween Day at the Farmers & Crafts Market of Las Cruces from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, serving 15 delicious flavors of our fresh Aguas Frescas!

Handmade with Love, Creativity and a Whole Lot of Meaning!

I’ve been extremely busy these past few weeks creating new props, decorations, and booth signs for our upcoming Día de Mu***os celebrations! Almost everything has been handmade by me using materials, tools, and random things I already had sitting in my garage. 😂

Now, don’t get me wrong, these projects aren’t necessarily cheap, and they definitely take a lot of time, patience, and hard work! But I’ve always been a very creative person. I love taking something ordinary and turning it into something beautiful and unique.

One of the projects I’m most excited to share is our Messages to Heaven Community Phone Booth!

This project is especially close to my heart because Día de Mu***os is about so much more than beautiful decorations, colorful calaveras, and cempasúchil flowers. It’s about love, remembrance, family, and keeping the memories of those who have passed alive.

Our Messages to Heaven phone booth will be a special space where anyone visiting our booth can pick up the phone and have a moment with someone they miss dearly.

Call your mama or papa just to tell them you love them. Tell your abuelita or abuelito how much you miss their hugs, stories, and laughter. Share something special with a child, sibling, friend, or loved one who left this world too soon. Or simply pick up the phone, close your eyes, and say the words you never had the chance to say.

There won’t be anyone answering on the other end, but sometimes speaking from the heart is all we need.

Grief doesn’t have an expiration date. Whether you lost someone yesterday or 30 years ago, the love you carry for them never disappears.

In our Mexican culture, Día de Mu***os reminds us that our loved ones continue to live through our memories, traditions, and the stories we share.

I truly hope everyone who visits us at Mu***os Fest in San Antonio, Texas, and the Día de Mu***os celebration in Old Mesilla, New Mexico, takes a moment to experience our community phone booth.

You don’t have to purchase anything from us to participate. This is something I’m creating from my heart, for our community, and for everyone who carries someone special in theirs. 🖤

Of all the things I’ve created over the years, I have a feeling this will be one of the most meaningful.

Keeping Our Traditions Alive!

Another beautiful addition to our ofrenda! We restocked even more authentic, traditional Mexican sugar Calaveras!

Over the years, I’ve collected a large variety of these beautiful Calaveras, handcrafted in Mexico by talented artisans who continue the generations-old tradition of making them for Día de Mu***os.

For the past 10 years, I’ve made it a tradition to stop by Lujan’s Bakery every year to purchase these colorful works of art, along with their delicious, authentic Pan de Mu**to!

What makes these Calaveras so special to me is that they’re more than just beautiful decorations. They represent our Mexican heritage, our ancestors, and the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Every colorful detail is a reminder of the love, creativity, and craftsmanship that goes into celebrating Día de Mu***os.

Día de Mu***os isn’t just about decorating with skulls and marigolds. It’s about remembering those who came before us, honoring their lives, and keeping their memories alive.

And of course, a huge shoutout to Lujan’s Bakery for continuing to bring these beautiful Mexican traditions to our community year after year!

And the crafting continues! Another exciting addition to our handmade collection! Introducing our newest Build & Paint Your Own Skeleton Kits!

These adorable little skeletons come ready for you to assemble, paint, and bring to life with your own creativity! A fun, spooky activity for both kids and adults, and a perfect little keepsake for Día de Mu***os!

We will have these available at Mu**to Fest in San Antonio, Texas, next weekend, followed by the Día de Mu***os celebration in Historic Old Mesilla, New Mexico, the following weekend!

I’ve been working nonstop for months preparing hundreds of handmade pieces, creating new products, and putting together something truly special for both celebrations. Every little detail matters to me, especially when it comes to honoring and sharing our beautiful Mexican traditions and cultura.

And speaking of something special… I have another BIG surprise!

I’ve been working on a brand new interactive community display that will be featured at both events! I’m keeping the details a secret for just a little longer, but I have a feeling this one is going to be a huge hit! It’s something meaningful that I’m incredibly excited to share with everyone.

Preparing for events of this size takes an incredible amount of time, creativity, patience, and dedication. But seeing everything finally come together and watching people enjoy what I’ve created makes every late night worth it!
