When I say my mind is blown right now...   I have been wanting to make sourdough pop tarts! I finally did this morning but I only made 3!!!  I don't even think I can call it a pop tart...  because there's nothing crunchy about this pop tart.... more like a pie-tart?  this is like your 90 year-old grandmother has been making pies her whole life and just made a pie tart... my only fear is like I'm not going to remember how I made it to do it again!!!

I wish I could've posted all this yesterday, but the party had not happened yet!!  This is my second year in a row doing treats for her daughter's birthday. Always grateful!

I am going to be shameless because I'm super proud of what I accomplished this weekend. 

 So many orders this weekend and I'm so proud of every single thing that I put out. This was a Tea for Two theme and it was an order for a cake, cake pops, decorated cookies, decorated strawberries, but first I'm going to start with the cake pops.

I didn't have regular butter this morning in my house and my hubby/boys will be doing yard work this morning and gone the whole day so I wanted to send them with a filling breakfast.

I was at the kitchen until late last night, and I used every scrap of regular butter...  but I did have plant butter so I said why not!?

I thought I wonder how many vegan buttermilk sourdough biscuits there are out there? These biscuits were made with regular buttermilk but I wanted to see how they baked up first with plant butter and then I'll add vegan buttermilk next time to make a complete vegan buttermilk sourdough biscuit.

Let's see if the boys notice the difference.

I turned 50 last year...  it wasn't the easiest transition.  I remember I didn't want to celebrate.  All I wanted was to go away some where quiet  and let that day pass quickly.

However, my sweet hot husband, family, and friends wanted something different for me  and they surprised me with a beautiful party.  A day that I wanted to pass quietly  was spent laughing  and with so much joy with people I care about so much.

 So when my new customer  who lived in South Carolina reached out to me to make a special 50th birthday cake for her BFF , I said absolutely.  I happen to know the birthday girl very well  and I was overjoyed  that they were going to celebrate her amazing soul.

Birthday girl loves Beetlejuice and nightmare before Christmas  so that's what I did!
