Well, yet again, part of my birthday was spent on cookies! This theme was so adorable, and I really enjoyed them. It was a nice, soothing way to end my birthday. Thanks for another great lesson, !

It’s the last day of the month, so that means it’s time! These flowers were made entirely from wafer paper and Smart Sheets. I was very intimidated by these, but I actually loved making them! I continue to be so excited by the learning and growth I’ve gained from these lessons. On to March!

I got to make these adorable, National Park themed cookies for a sweet friend’s baby shower this weekend, and I loved them so much! I cannot wait to meet Baby Bushong! 💙

This marks the start of my FIFTH year of McGooU! I never imagined that when I started this cookie “thing” that I would have learned any of the skills I have, and that I would have come so far. Especially as a self-professed “unartistic” person. And I definitely never would have guessed that I’d sit in front of 40 women and teach them some of those skills like I did Friday evening! For some reason, cookies and royal icing are the medium that clicked for me, and it continues to be a very fun way to express myself creatively. So here’s to year 5 and here’s to 2023! Let the learning and growth continue!

It has been a while, friends! Aside from my monthly McGooU homework, I haven’t made cookies in quite some time. But I couldn’t miss making cookies for the baby shower of some of our closest friends! It was a dreamy, winter themed shower and I absolutely loved making these. We are so thrilled for our friends, and can’t wait to love on Baby Monroe! 😍♥️

I’ll be honest, my procrastination and the busyness of the season almost kept me from finishing these on time. But with a little focus, I managed to finish my last of the year! I’ve now completed 4 straight years of homework, which just seems crazy. Cookies may be a bit on the back burner for me currently, but they still have such a special place in my heart and life. As this year comes to a close, I have a lot to reflect on; both good and not so good. However this year went for you, don’t feel pressure to make 2023 anything in particular. If you have goals and hopes for the year, that’s great! But if you just want to take it a day at a time and see where the year takes you, I think that’s great too. Overall, I hope 2023 finds everyone treating each other with a little more kindness, compassion, understanding, and grace. May 2023 be as sweet as these cookies! 😜

Well, tomorrow may be December 1st, but I’m sneaking in one more fall cookie! once again created an adorable lesson, and it was fun to have all the cookies combine into one rather than just stay three separate cookies this time! I’m ready for one last lesson and the last set of of the year next month!

In keeping with tradition, I have yet again finished my on the last day of the month. 😂 This was my first attempt at macrame and I’ve only made succulents a handful of times, so they were a challenge, but so fun! On to September!

To end the month, it’s time to share my ! These beachy cookies made me wish I could be up at my family’s lake house. I’m honestly not much of a beach girl, but I do enjoy sitting on the deck, hearing the water and enjoying a nice breeze. All in the shade, because I burn SO easily. 🥵😂 What about you? Are you a beach-goer or do you stick to the shade like me?
