Because I’ve gotten a few messages, I wanted to just make one big post explaining everything. Sorry in advance for the length. I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. (Surprise rebranding info at the end..)
So, when I quit cookies a couple years ago it was for a few reasons. I’ll just summarize.
1. My regular job got super busy
2. We decided to move (I’m still in the AV, but I’m out in Rosamond now)
3. I was going through some health issues that are finally just in the last month resolved (🤞🏻)
4. I found out I was pregnant 😳
5. We started a little homestead lol
Basically life has been chaotic to say the least.
THAT SAID.. Sunshine and Cookies is going to look a little different this time. For now anyway, I won’t be taking custom orders. My schedule just doesn’t give me the time I need for custom orders at the moment. The baby is home with me and per Cottage Food Laws, I can only bake and decorate when I’m not caring for him.
Instead I will be doing holiday and special event drops and pre-sales. Halloween, Thanksgiving/fall, Christmas/winter (hopefully.. the baby is a December baby lol), Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Teacher Appreciation, Graduation, etc. Also cookie kits since they seemed to be a hit! I plan to start doing pop ups and vendor events if I can. Things like that. So you’ll need to keep an eye out for posts to see when and where things will be available. (Kind of exciting, right? 😬🤞🏻)
I hope everyone understands. It’s just easier to make the same cookie a bunch of times than to make dozens of very different cookies at the same time.
I’m also going to be rebranding.. Sunshine and Cookies just doesn’t feel like it aligns with life currently or the way my business will be run going forward. I want this comeback to be a full refresh. I think I’m going to change the name of this operation to Total Chaos Cookie Company. Be on the lookout for a new logo soon..
I love and appreciate all of the support and the warm welcome back I received! You’re all amazing and I’m grateful for this community. 🫶🏻
