Our Story

Hello! Iā€™m Ashley, the owner/baker/decorator at Sugar and Spice. I have always loved art, and I took my first (and only!) cake decorating class in 2005 because it seemed like a fun way to use my creativity. I was instantly hooked! I spent way too much money buying up the whole cake decorating aisle at Hobby Lobby and began trying new methods on family birthday cakes. Decorated sugar cookies soon followed, and they took a lot of trial and error! In 2014, I opened Sugar and Spice after resigning from my teaching job to stay home with my new baby boy. Six years have passed, and Iā€™m still baking away! I have learned a lot over these years. My customers are the best, and I treasure the friendships I have made through this business.
