Been awhile since I've done such an epic cake but the request for another mimic cake came in for a loved one so here's mimic cake #2...

Same flavors as last time per request: chocolate cake, chocolate cheesecake filling, (this time I added a layer of crushed Oreos) and chocolate buttercream. The monster is made of modeling chocolate painted with oil-based food coloring.

Bug’s Bites, cottage bakery of 16-year-old Lakewood local Bug, has joined forces with Luckisweets in offering for sale these gorgeous GIANT cookies available for immediate pickup (delivery with charge). These beauties are between 5 and 6 ounces EACH, bigger and better than you know who’s cookies!

4-cookie variety packs are $20 (or 8 for $36) and include:

1x chocolate peanut butter explosion: chocolate cookie dough mixed with crushed Reese’s cups and peanut butter M&Ms and a creamy peanut butter center

1x cookie cookie cookie: dark chocolate chunk cookie dough with chunks of Oreo and Chips Ahoy with a creamy Oreo center

1x sweet and salty treat: sugar cookie dough packed with potato chips, pretzels, and mini M&Ms stuffed with a generous scoop of Nutella

1x cherry pie cookie (seasonal): sugar cookie dough stuffed with house made cherry pie filling and topped with streusel crumb topping

EDIT: Change of plans. These were the inspirations for the patterned roll cakes we were going to make. Maybe next year. Will start experimenting sometime soon for upcoming holidays and seasons.
