I am a single mom of 3 kids...although they are all grown and married now LOL My oldest son is 32, my middle son is 28, and my daughter is 26. e dance team (West Coast Country Heat). I started by doing cakes for my own children. I grew up having theme parties for my birthday, so I wanted that for my kids, too. Thanks to a gift subscription to "Family Fun" magazine I had a scrapbook filled with theme ideas including the matching cakes. Eventually a few daycare parents asked if I could do one for them. Then my daughter talked me into creating a page for my cakes. BOOM! I went from making 10 - 20 cakes a year to 6-10 a week! At first it was being saved up as our vacation money, then it put my kids through college! Now it is allowing me to scale back a bit from the daycare and focus more on creating cakes for YOU. The more cakes I do, the more I learn :-) I'm so thankful to be doing something I love so much!!
