Weekend Recap

Chef Jason rolled in with a brand new creation and kicked off his Legendary Sunday Cinnamon Roll series in style. Last Ditch celebrated their first anniversary surrounded by friends, laughter, and a community that continues to show up in the best ways.

Esox got a little ashy working on a new project, proving once again that building things is more fun when you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.

And somewhere between the markets, the baking, the celebrations, and the projects, there was time for a little fun. Family Day at Pokémon GO Fest was a reminder that sometimes the best memories happen when you put the work down for a few hours and just enjoy the adventure.

Busy. Productive. A little chaotic. Full of friends.

Exactly the kind of weekend we’ll gladly do all over again. ❤️

Then on Sunday, Lake Mills chef legend Jason takes over the Sweet Shop with the first release of his Legendary Cinnamon Roll Sundays.

This week’s flavor: Dubai Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls featuring rich chocolate, pistachio butter, and all the over-the-top goodness you’d expect from Chef Jason.

Available starting at 7 AM at the Sweet Shop, while they last open 7-12 pm.

Join me for an evening of connection, encouragement, and conversation at our Empowering Women Meeting. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is show up for each other.

Kitten Update

When we found the first litter of kittens just prior to the demolition, we weren’t sure what would happen to them. Thanks to this incredible community, every one of those kittens found a forever home.

As preparations began to take down the second building, we discovered a second litter, about two weeks younger than the first. We're happy to report that every one of those kittens has also been adopted.

To celebrate the compassion and community that has surrounded us through this journey, and our wonderful neighbors at Last Ditch Brew Pub, we'll be offering Turnovers & Croissants 2 for $5 all month long.

As for the Bakehouse family, Nyx is taking his job as big brother very seriously and is doing a great job looking after Nox and Ember. That brings us to three black cats, but we've never been ones to back down from a little bad luck, a curse, or a challenge.

We're hoping these three have long, happy lives filled with love, treats, and plenty of encouragement from Esox, me, and our sweet pie comuntity.
