Happy first day of *feels like fall*! I’ve got my windows open and a cool fall breeze blowing through the house, and it seems like a great day to share my current breakfast obsession! This is steel cut oatmeal with baked cinnamon pears.
To make the cinnamon pears (or apples—both are delicious!), peel and chop 2 or 3 pears into bite size pieces. Toss with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Spread in an oven safe glass dish. Top with half a tablespoon of thinly sliced salted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. You can serve it immediately with steel cut oatmeal, or make it ahead for a quick breakfast.

My absolute favorite is McCann’s Irish Oatmeal Quick & Easy Steel Cut Irish Oats for a 10 minute breakfast.
