Pie Baking Instructions From Frozen
Bake From Frozen

Pre-Heat Oven to 375 degrees. Put the Pie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Fruit pies with a double crust generally bake in 50-65 min *Apple pie bakes in about 90 min. Custard style pies bake for 55-65 min *Pecan Crumb Top Pumpkin bake for 75-80 min. Cookie style pies bake in 35-45 min. Crumb top pies, need to be covered with alumi

num foil for 45 min; then remove the foil, fluff up topping with fork, and continue baking uncovered for an additional 60 min. May take close to 2 hours to bake depending on your oven. The fruit should be tender when tested with a knife. It is very important to let any of these pies cool completely before slicing. Ovens do vary so it’s good to keep an eye on your pie as it bakes, and adjust baking times as needed

I want to take this time to announce a big change for The cheese and Pie Mongers St. Peter store. We will be closing our shop in St. Peter after the first of the year. We opened 9 years ago, and have had a wonderful experience here.
Maybe some of you don’t know, but we opened our second pie shop at our apple orchard, welsh Heritage Farms, located on hwy 60 in 2021, where we have a larger facility, more parking capacity, and room to continue to grow. We have simply outgrown our space in St. Peter and with the apple orchard and pie shop growing, we need to direct our time, energy, and resources to that location.
The Cheese and Pie Mongers at Welsh Heritage Farms will be open year round, all gift cards will be accepted there, and all the pies that we offer in St. Peter will still be available all year.
It’s important for Tim and I to be able to continue our goals with the business and we have been stretched very thin in operating at two separate locations. We believe we will be able to better serve our customers, staff, and ourselves if we consolidate the operation to one location.
We thank everyone for your support, and we hope you will find us at Welsh as we begin the next chapter of The Cheese and Pie Mongers.

Thank you to all the wonderful customers for supporting us again this thanksgiving, and a special thank you to my amazing staff for working hard to get these pies put together, we hope you all enjoy and we’ll be taking a break until Wednesday the 29th to rest up and get ready for the Christmas season!
