So I was supposed to make a post on Tuesday but I've been sick all week. I've been trying to been business back up but the truth is I simply don't have the capability nor the energy for it. Between my disabilities and the fact that there almost hasn't been a week that I haven't been sick or injured this year I am just not able to run a bakery any longer. I still enjoy baking for my self, family and friends but sadly I am shutting Bread and Briar down. At least the business part. I will keep the page up as a place to post my baking and cooking adventures when I do make something fun and I'll even share recipes but I am no longer doing orders.
To everyone who has supported my journey thank you.

Something new is coming out of the Bread and Briar kitchen this week. I’m getting everything ready for Thursday’s mystery batch reveal, and I can’t wait to share this week’s surprise combo with you. It’ll be made from my regular menu and baked fresh in small batches for Saturday pickup.

Also, a quick update: I’m shutting down my Hotplate page. All weekly drops and preorder updates will now be posted here on Facebook under Bread and Briar -a cottage law bakery. This is where most of you are active, so it just makes sense to keep everything in one place.

Every week, I’ll create a small micro‑batch using items from my regular menu — things like breads, cookies, muffins, and other familiar favorites.

Each batch will be a surprise combo, such as:
• a loaf + 6 cookies
• or a savory bread + 6 muffins

The exact combo stays secret until Thursday morning, when preorders officially open.
Quantities will always be limited so I can bake everything fresh here in Lake City.
