The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Lanesboro United Methodist Church in Lanesboro, IA. The Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Lampe and Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa. Burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to New Hope in Carroll, Iowa.

Alice Riedesel, age 84, of Lohrville, passed away at the Journey Senior Living facility in Carroll, Iowa, on Sept. 30, 2026. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM with a 5:00 PM Rosary, at Lampe and Powers Funeral Home, 418 N. Hancock St., Lake City, IA. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 221 N. Lloyd Street, Lake City, IA, on October 5th at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at the Lanesboro Cemetery and a funeral luncheon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.

Peggy Scanlan, age 83, of Lake City, IA, passed away at Accura HealthCare of Lake City on Wednesday, Sept, 2, 2026. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake City, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, September 10, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake City, Iowa, with a 7:00 pm Vigil Service. A private family burial will take place right after the Memorial Mass. Peggy's wishes were to have everyone wear bright colors to her funeral! Memorials can be directed to the Stewart Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or the New Hope Village in Peggy's memory.
