After 11 years in business, 4 years of putting on the Lake Arrowhead Dog Festival and about 15 years of being an active advocate/rescuer in the community for the mountain animals, I am sad to say that the owners of The Lake Arrowhead Village/Pacific Capital Investors do not want to renew my lease for Three Dog Bakery.
I am very heartbroken. I have been a mountain resident for 38 years. My Bakery and saving animals are my passion. I've worked hard to build my business. I want to thank all of my loyal customers who have supported me for 11 years, many who live locally and many who make that special trip from afar just to come to my Bakery. A lot of you I have known from rescue and a lot from grooming your dogs for years before my Bakery opened and a lot of you I met throughout my years at the Bakery and you have become friends and family to me. We have shared laughter, stories and shed tears at the loss of our fur kids. Seeing the excitement and smiles on your dogs faces always made my day. I loved watching the dogs pull the owners in my store and knowing how excited they were because they knew they were getting treats, kisses and love from us! It was just as exciting for us! Although this was not my decision and I have no control over my lease not being renewed, I am so sorry to let all of the dogs down.
I also want to thank my employees who I am so thankful for. I appreciate you so much. You have made the bakery experience for the customers and dogs wonderful. I will truly miss you all. I know I speak for everyone at the Bakery when I say we will miss all of our customers, 2 and 4 legged. And our customers that would come visit us on almost a daily basis just to say hi.
I know nothing can probably change the mind of the landlord renewing my lease, my lease expires April 30, 2018.
