Why I started Carmen’s Sweet Dreams

Your Local Lafayette, Louisiana Neighborhood Bakery

Homemade Goodness from the Heart

Hi! Why is yet another person opening a bakery? One day a friend jokingly sent me a text, (yet she was serious), “Time to start a neighborhood business, maybe a sweets delivery service…” This jogged my memory of me in my early 20’s wanting to bake my chocolate chip cookies and sell them. I believe God uses people in your life to speak to you. After several weeks of praying with my husband, we felt the “push” from God to go ahead. And here I am today. Wanting to bake some sweets from the heart and yet, offer a healthier version of baked goods at the same price as regular sweets. Other bakeries charge more for low sugar or no sugar, or gluten free or whole wheat. Thanks for reading. God Bless you and yours!
